The class your child is in is taking part in SHARMED, a project financed by the European Union and conceived by three Universities,
one in the United Kingdom, one in Germany and one in Italy.
SHARMED participation will enable children to take into class a photograph of some personal memories they would like to share with
their schoolmates. This in turn will enable a reflection about identity, memory and multiple cultural belongings.
This project values the knowledge that your child carries and views it as the starting point of their learning experiences.
SHARMED asks all 1000 children joining the project to choose a picture which represents the spirit of their personal, and family story
and to bring it to school. SHARMED facilitators will lead a respectful exchange among children, in which they will be able to learn from
We wish to create an interactive archive where all children, teachers, parents and those interested can share the spirit of their experiences
in order to keep the learning exchange going, even after the activities.
These activities will be held in 2017 in the classroom, organized in four meetings of two hours each. The activities will be created specifically
class by class. To prepare the activities , we need some background information from you. Your responses will be anonymised.
The activities undertaken will be evaluated and go towards training materials for teachers who are interested in creating a learning
experience which doesn’t start just from books, but also from the pupils themselves.
We will let you know when the meetings in the school will take place, as soon as possible.
